Wendy King is vice president, Gulf Coast and Rockies for ConocoPhillips. She leads a team responsible for development and operations of the company’s Eagle Ford and Bakken assets.


She assumed this role in 2022 after serving as vice president of the Gulf Coast business unit and vice president of the Great Plains business unit. King’s previous leadership roles within ConocoPhillips include serving the Australia East business unit as president, Australia Pacific LNG as vice president, Commercial, and the Alaska business unit as vice president, External Affairs, and manager, Alaska North Slope Gas Development.


King began her career as a petroleum engineer with Conoco and has held various technical and leadership positions in exploration and production functions in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Africa.


Externally, King serves on the board of the Texas Oil and Gas Association and as a member of the Texas State Energy Plan Advisory Committee. She previously served as a board member for the American Chamber of Commerce in Australia (AmCham), the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association, the University of Alaska, the Resource Development Council of Alaska and the United Way of Anchorage board.


She received a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

Dr. Dindoruk is well-known for his extensive work on thermodynamics of phase behavior/EOS development and experimental work, interaction of phase behavior and flow in porous media, enhanced oil recovery and CO2 sequestration, and correlative methodologies. His technical contributions have been acknowledged with many awards during his career, including SPE Lester C. Uren Award (2014), Cedric K. Ferguson Medal (1994), and Distinguished Membership. In 2017, he was elected as a member of the National Academy of Engineering for his significant theoretical and practical contributions to enhanced oil recovery and CO2 sequestration. Dr. Dindoruk was Data Science and Engineering Analytics Technical Director of the SPE and a member of the Advisory Committee of the SPE Reservoir Dynamics and Description Technical Discipline. He has been active in various editorial positions under SPE and also Elsevier. Currently he is the Editor In Chief for all SPE Journals. Dr. Dindoruk is a Director at Interaction of Phase Behavior and Flow (IPB&F) Consortium at University of Houston.

Bevin VanGilder, 41, is the upstream carbon reduction director for Chevron Corporation, a position she has held since April 2021.  She is responsible for working across the upstream organization to help deliver Chevron’s lower carbon strategy with a focus on lowering the carbon intensity of its current operations.


Prior to this assignment, VanGilder has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in Kazakhstan, Angola, and the United States.


VanGilder serves on the West Virginia University Petroleum Engineering Advisory Committee, which is responsible for ensuring graduating students have the necessary skills to be marketable.


VanGilder joined Chevron in 2003. She earned a bachelor's degree from West Virginia University in petroleum engineering and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma.

Tim Duncan is a founder, President and CEO of Talos Energy.  Prior to Talos Energy, Mr. Duncan was the Senior Vice President of Business Development and a founder of Phoenix Exploration Company LP, where he was responsible for Phoenix's business development evaluations and negotiations, including the sale of the company to a group of buyers led by Apache Corporation. Prior to Phoenix, he was Manager of Reservoir Engineering and Evaluations for Gryphon Exploration Company. Mr. Duncan also worked in various reservoir engineering and portfolio evaluation functions for Amerada Hess Corporation, Zilkha Energy Company, and Pennzoil E&P Company.


In 2013, Talos Energy was named by Houston Chronical as the #1 Top Workplace in the Houston area for companies under 150 employees and has maintained a position on the list of Top Workplaces for the last nine years. In June 2016, Mr. Duncan was named as the EY Entrepreneur of the Year for the Energy & Energy Services sector in the Gulf Coast Area.


Mr. Duncan is the past Chairman (2021-2022) and past Vice Chair (2020-2021) of the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) and serves on their board of directors. He is a member of the board of directors of Chesapeake Energy Corporation and of the American Cancer Society’s CEO’s Against Cancer. He also serves on various academically focused advisory boards, including the College of Engineering Dean’s Advisory Council and the Foundation Board at Mississippi State University. Mr. Duncan holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State University and an MBA from the Bauer Executive Program at the University of Houston.

Lyndal Cissell is Vice President and Managing Director of North America Offshore, Schlumberger, a position she assumed in July 2020.  Lyndal is responsible for Atlantic & Eastern Coast Canada, Gulf Coast and Alaska operations.  


Prior to this role, she was the Vice President of M-I SWACO in North America Land, a division of Schlumberger.  In addition, Lyndal held a number of management roles, including Director of Global Operations for Drilling and Measurements HQ, located in Houston, and Operations Manager in Stavanger, Norway. 


With over 17 years of experience within Drilling & Measurement and Directional Drilling, Lyndal held various operations management and business development positions.  She joined Schlumberger in 2002 as a M/LWD engineer for Drilling & Measurements operations in Calgary, Canada.


Lyndal serves on the Executive Committee for National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA).  She serves as the Vice Chair of Education for Offshore Energy Center (OEC) part of the Ocean Star Museum in Galveston. 


Lyndal earned an Honors Petroleum Engineering Technology degree from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, Alberta Canada.  


Lyndal lives in Houston, Texas with her husband and two sons.  She is a strong advocate and active member for Autism Speaks, as well as a proud U.S. Navy Mom.

Nicole Champenoy is the Asset Class Director for Shale and Tight assets for Chevron Corporation, a position she has held since December 2021.  She is responsible for enabling and supporting teaming, communication and alignment between functions and business units to develop and recommend strategies including priorities, strategic improvement opportunities and innovate across the enterprise for Shale and Tight. Additionally, she has a passion for employee development and works to ensure development and training opportunities are leveraged for S&T skills advancement.


Prior to this role Nicole was the Asset Manager for Chevron’s Permian Assets in New Mexico as well as Chevon’s East Texas Assets. She has worked in S&T for almost 10 years teaching technical content, advising on development planning, leading Permian development as well as improving subsurface performance.


Nicole began her career as a petroleum engineer and joined Chevron in 2006, she has held various technical and leadership positions in in the technical center, the business units, and corporate teams. Her background includes reservoir simulation, asset planning and development, water flood optimization and Shale and Tight performance prediction and planning.


Nicole received her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Florida in December 2001 and then proceeded to get her masters while working full time and graduated from the University of Houston with her master’s in petroleum engineering in 2008.


Nicole is married to her husband Jamy of 18 years and they have 3 sons that keep them busy and active with their various interest and hobbies.

Molly Smith is the Vice President, Drilling and Completions at Murphy Oil Corporation where she leads the global team responsible for the engineering and safe execution of exploration and development drilling, completions and interventions. With over 17 years of experience, Smith has held various positions from technical to leadership. While US Onshore Operations Manager at Murphy, she digitally transformed Eagle Ford Shale operations by building out the Remote Operations Center’s Integrated Operations Platform. Smith’s current well operations include Onshore US and Canada, in which she pioneered real-time remote frac operations monitoring from the Houston office1, and Offshore GOM, Mexico and Vietnam. Prior to Murphy, Smith worked in various basins including Gulf Coast, Appalachia and Rockies. 


Smith has been published in Society of Petroleum Engineering for her work in Unconventional Completion Technology2 and most recently in Data Science and Digital Engineering1. In 2021, she was recognized by Hart Energy Oil & Gas Investor’s Forty under 40.


Smith received a bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California and has completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School and Wharton Finance for Executives.


Smith is passionate about STEAM and volunteers with the Women’s Energy Network of Houston both as a mentor and with Young Women Energized outreach. She is married with two children.

Misty Alexa is Asset Manager, Eagle Ford & GOM for ConocoPhillips. Alexa has over 20 years of industry experience in a variety of technical, planning and leadership roles in the United States, Middle East, Canada and Southeast Asia.


In 1999, Alexa joined the company as a reservoir engineer in Lafayette, LA. She also held reservoir engineering positions in Houston, Texas and Dubai, United Arab Emirates, prior to assuming a planning position within Upstream Technology in 2005. From late 2006 to 2010, Alexa worked on oil sands projects in Calgary, Canada. In 2010, Alexa relocated to Jakarta, Indonesia as manager of the Sumatra gas exploitation team. She accepted the asset manager position for the onshore Sumatra fields in 2012. Alexa held the roles of Western North Slope development manager, Western North Slope operations manager and North Slope development manager during her tenure in Alaska from 2013 to early 2020. Most recently, she was manager, Strategy, Planning & Portfolio Management.


Alexa earned a Bachelor of Science in geophysical engineering from Montana Tech of the University of Montana in 1998.
