Sept. 13, 2005

Description

On March 30th, 2005 Arjun  N. Murti, a respected investment analyst and Managing Director of Global Investment Research at Goldman Sachs, forecasted oil to reach a “Super-Spike” of $105 per barrel in the near future.  In doing so he sent a shockwave through the industry.  Oil has hit numerous all-time highs in the last 5 months; E&P company evaluations have seen double digit run-ups in the short time since then.  Is Mr. Murti right?  Are we on track for $105 oil?  It certainly seems more possible now than in March.  How will this affect our industry, the markets, and you?

The presentation will demonstrate the fundamentals an investment firm uses in evaluating the long-term potential of a publicly traded E&P or energy service company.  Current market expectations and trends will be included, along with a brief case study of an equity research evaluation.

All levels of industry are invited since this topic and speaker will affect CEOs and new engineers alike.
Come for the talk. Enjoy the food. Stay for the company!

Special thanks to Goldman Sachs for continuing to support the Emerging Leaders effort to educate our industry on “The Rest of the Energy Value Chain” – the 2004-2005 Emerging Leaders Program Series Theme.
