On March 30th, 2005 Arjun N. Murti, a respected investment analyst and Managing Director of Global Investment Research at Goldman Sachs, forecasted oil to reach a “Super-Spike” of $105 per barrel in the near future. In doing so he sent a shockwave through the industry. Oil has hit numerous all-time highs in the last 5 months; E&P company evaluations have seen double digit run-ups in the short time since then.
