Evelyn MacLean, former Chief Procurement Officer and Vice President of Energy Workforce Transformation (Hess) has spent more than three decades working in the industry, and has continuously invested in the study of emotional intelligence, neuroscience and the psychodynamics of individuals and teams to distinguish her brand as a motivator, mentor and leader.

She joined Hess in February 2015 as Vice President, Strategic Sourcing with responsibility for category management and developing trusted, long-term partnerships with suppliers.

Previously, Ms. MacLean was with BP in the U.S. for eight years, most recently as Vice President, Global Wells Supply Chain. She was also Vice President, Drilling and Completions Category Management; Well Services Sector Director; and Global Procurement and Supply Chain Manager – Transformation.

Earlier in her career, Evelyn spent 18 years with The Halliburton Company in various supply chain leadership roles in Houston and the U.K., four years with Marathon, and seven years with Brown and Root in project certification and quality assurance.

Evelyn is a member of INSEAD Alumni and an Executive Member of the Houston Chapter of the Women’s Energy Network. She holds a master’s degree from INSEAD in Consulting and Coaching for Change, and a bachelor’s degree in Management from Bellevue University, and has studied Law at Aberdeen University and Psychology at Inverness Technical College.
