Katherine Cao is a Project Manager at Cognite where she leads the digital transformation of heavy asset industries. With over 4 years of upstream oil and gas engineering background, she leverages her in-field experience from operations and strong acumen from business development to bridge the gap between the field and office and drive digital initiatives for clients.


Prior to Cognite, she worked as a new ventures Drilling Engineer for CNOOC International and offshore in the Gulf of Mexico as a MLWD Engineer for Schlumberger. 


Katherine earned her Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 2016 and is an active member of SPE, AADE, and SWE. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, and reading.

Pritesh is a Data Scientist working as an Experienced D&A Associate with PricewaterhouseCooper in Houston. He focuses on implementing ML/AI modelling, primarily for the energy industry. Karan attained a Bachelors in Petroleum Engineering at the Colorado School of Mines and a Masters of Energy with First Class Honours at the University of Auckland. Karan currently works on practical applications of geothermal modeling and co-supervises Masters of Energy students. Karan also volunteers with various non-profit organizations like UN-Youth and Amnesty International in his free time.
