EnerVest - John B. Walker – President & CEO EnerVest ( www.enervest.net ) was organized in 1992 by John B. Walker, and Jon Rex Jones, Chairman. EnerVest was created to acquire, exploit, operate & manage oil and gas properties on behalf of institutional investors with the primary objectives of capital appreciation & earnings generation.
Prior to founding EnerVest, John was President and Chief Operating Officer of Torch Energy. During his tenure, Torch''s assets grew from $200 million to $1 billion. At Torch, John was responsible for the creation of Nuevo Energy Company and its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to that, John created Walker Energy Partners, which raised $136 million and participated in more than 1,000 wells. John was selected by Institutional Investor as an "All American" energy analyst for six years in a row. He holds a BBA (with honors) from Texas Tech University and a MBA (with distinction) from New York University.
John served as Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) from 2003 to 2005. In May 2000, he was recognized with the IPAA''s Leadership award, and in 2001 received the Silver Beaver Award from the Boy Scouts. He is also a member of the Natural Gas Council and National Petroleum Council and serves or has served on the boards of the Houston Producers Forum, Houston Petroleum Club, Offshore Energy Center and Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association.

Kennedy - Senior VP - Business Development & Land Mr. Kennedy has been with Citation since August 1997, first as Land Manager, then as Vice President – Land and now as Senior Vice President – Business Development & Land. Mr. Kennedy began his career with Smackco, Inc., and then joined Southland Royalty Company as a staff landman in its Houston office. After Southland Royalty Company merged into Meridian Oil, Inc., he served as Area Landman and Land Manager in Meridian''s Houston and Farmington, New Mexico offices, working in the Gulf Coast, Permian, Mid-Continent and Rocky Mountain areas. Mr. Kennedy holds a B.S in Business from Auburn University, a B.S. in Science from the University of Houston and he completed the Petroleum Land Management Program at the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a Certified Professional Landman.
