Description
Deepwater riser selection is a complex evaluation of technical and commercial project drivers. Why is it so complex and variable from project to project? The complexity often comes in trying to meet the technical challenges of deepwater development parameters, whilst accommodating the commercial and sometimes social-economic factors. The final selection is often driven by non-technical requirements such as project schedule, local content requirements and installation contract strategy. This presentation will identify the key issues that drive the selection of deepwater riser systems for the developments of the future: technically, commercially and contractually.
