Description

This topic will address how to identify individual zonal reservoir properties in commingled, multilayer systems.  The talk will include discussion of how production logs can be utilized to in a unique way to determine reservoir properties of individual zones in multilayer well.

Dr. Poe has worked for over 15 years for Schlumberger in various research, marketing, and engineering solutions positions.  He is currently the Engineering Advisor with the ID Support group of Schlumberger Data and Consulting Services in Houston, TX.  He holds degrees in petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University and has research interests in the modeling and evaluation of hydraulic fracture propagation and reservoir performance, hydrocarbon phase behavior analysis, and pressure transient test analyses.


He has five U.S. and international patents in the area of oil and gas well production analyses, multi-layer commingled reservoir performance analyses, and production optimization.  Dr. Poe has authored numerous SPE technical papers on reservoir and well production performance analyses and previously contributed to several industry textbooks on well stimulation and reservoir performance analyses.
