Description

HOW HAVE RECENT A & D TRANSACTIONS CHANGED THE BUSINESS PLAN? WHAT A & D STRATEGIES HAVE EMERGED?
Our post-summer break speakers represent companies in the forefront of some of the largest transactions in recent times – Kerr McGee, Western Gas, Ocean Energy, Seagull, etc. Already large, they have become more geographically, operationally, and financially diverse. How have, and are, these buyouts affecting “Business as Usual” personnel, and future capital budgets? What will be their appetite for future deals? Will their stock price and earnings outlook meet the Analysts’ expectations? Who’s running the show now?
Equally important, how will their new business models affect the rest of us? Will there be non-core assets for sale? Who do we call for business opportunities? How soon will they be back in the market? How will our joint operations on existing assets or new investments be changed?
This will no doubt be an opportunity to expand your perspectives on the A & D world, and the many related business changes that come with each transaction. Even better, it may be your chance to make the deal that will boost your company’s profits, or balance out the Portfolio!
