Description

Abstract: Now that the war in Iraq is over, what impact will the post war occupation have on the oil industry and the future of the U.S.-Arab relations?? Iraq – a.k.a. as the Cradle of Civilization - is a country with the second largest oil reserves after Saudi Arabia. Ahmad Solomon, will speak on the current situation in the Middle East with a brief introduction to Iraq National Oil Company and the potential for U.S. companies doing business in Iraq. Although some aspects of the war will be covered, the talk will be educational rather than political. It would be focused on the culture, history and religions of the people in the Middle East to help the listeners come to their own conclusions and understand the complexity of the turmoil.
