Description

What better way to spend a hot Houston summer night than on the ice?

Join us for a night of socializing and fun! Come early for happy hour from 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM complete with appetizers from Bennigan's. At 10:00 PM we will take over the Galleria's ice rink, divide into teams, and start play. Bring your own team of 7 or join one during the mixer. This event is open to all, including SPE Members, Non-Members, Family, and Friends.

Broomball was inspired by hockey, but it is designed to be easy for a novice to pick up and enjoy. The key differences are:
·         Players wear tennis shoes or boots rather than skates
·         Instead of sticks players use special brooms (which will be provided)
·         It is played in ¼ or ½ of a full rink
·         A 5" diameter ball is used rather than a puck

There is limited space available so register as soon as possible. Save $3 by registering online. Registration at the door will be $10.
