Upstream CIO and Advertas LLC have conducted a study on integrating field and business operations data. A number of Chief Information Officers, VPs of IT and Production VPs were interviewed at length, and the results of the study showed that information flow is a bi-directional exchange of both business and production information. Many companies are moving business decision-making out to the operations.  For oil companies, there is strong value in people in the field being equipped with information about both production and business information simultaneously. This capability will enable field-wide optimization as well as business process optimization. Likewise, the home office clearly wants to have the benefit of information from production to make more timely business decisions. This 'round trip' of information is technically demanding and is driving the need for integration technologies like those to be demonstrated by the vendors at this technology showcase. Hal Green will report the remarkable findings from this joint study.

Eight vendors will present the latest technology and practices in integration software.  The demonstrations will include case studies of applications in the oil and gas industry.  Each 45-minute presentation will be given twice during the program in one of four rooms.  This setup will give you the flexibility to see more presentations and focus on the topics that interest you most.
