Description

Purpose: Raise scholarship money for students preparing to enter university engineering fields of study.
The Gulf Coast Section Golf Tournament is one of the largest contributors to the Section’s
scholarship program for students in our surrounding community.

Time: Morning round 7:15 a.m. shotgun start
Afternoon round 1:15 p.m. shotgun start
Format: Four-person scramble. Awards and prizes will be given at the lunch banquet for morning
players and at dinner for afternoon players.
Eligibility: Each foursome is required to have at least two SPE members.

Deerwood Club Educational Sponsorships—$1,750 to $15,000

Sponsors receive four player slots into the tournament at Deerwood, with a morning or
afternoon tee-time preference, special recognition at the tournament and in the tournament
book, and prizes and food at Deerwood Country Club. See the sponsor letter for details.

Kingwood Club Gold—$1,150

Sponsors receive a foursome at Kingwood Country Club with a choice of three courses (Island,
Lake, or Marsh), two reserved parking places, morning or afternoon tee-time preference
(shotgun start), and special recognition at the tournament and in the tournament book, and
lunch or dinner at Kingwood Country Club.

Kingwood Nonsponsors—$680
Four-person team with a morning or afternoon shotgun start at Kingwood Country Club.
Reservations: To reserve your spot in this year’s tournament, complete the registration form and send it with
payment (credit card information or check) to Ron Curtice at the address below. All
correspondence will be directed to the team captain who should then notify the remaining
members on the team. Each team captain will be notified of successful entry into the
tournament with course assignment, hole number, and tee time by mid-March 2006. No
telephone reservations or fax applications will be accepted.

Don’t wait! Tournament space is limited. The tournament has sold out each of the past 15 years!
Note: Entry is considered received only after funds for total costs have been received. Credit cards
must be processed and verified that funds have been received. Your spot will be secured
by level of sponsorship first and date/time received second.
