Are you confused about federal energy policy?  Do you know what ESG investment is and how it is regulated? Are you concerned about permitting reform at the Federal level?  Then you should attend this informative persentation by Mr. Tim Tarpley. 

Mr. Tarpley will provide information on the following areas that will/are affecting the energy industry:

federal energy policy with a focus on the House energy package,

SEC rules regarding ESG (environmental, safety, and governance) investments, and

permitting reform.  

He will also provide a update on new energy incentives at the federal level that were created with the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act.

He works in developing and implementing an integrated strategic plan to advance Energy Workforce’s policy positions; broaden awareness of its programs and priorities; and increase the visibility of its positions across key stakeholder audiences.

Tim has advocated for the men and woman of the US energy industry for the past 4 years in Washington and around the country.  He has made presentations at multiple conferences on energy policy and has testified in committees of the United States Congress.


Prior to joining the Energy Workforce & Technology Council he served as Chief of Staff to Congressman Ted Poe (R-TX) and began his legislative career as an aide to Congressman Thornberry (R-TX). As a lynchpin of Congressman Poe’s staff for more than nine years, Tim worked on permitting the Keystone pipeline and ending the crude oil export ban.


Tarpley holds a juris doctor from Creighton University School of Law and a Master of Law from American University Washington College of Law.
