Dr. Yuill will present a talk entitled “World Bank Standards and Guidelines: A Primer for International Oil and Gas Projects.” The presentation will answer the following questions:
· What are the institutions that make up the World Bank Group?
· What other multilateral lending institutions have environmental guidelines?
· When does my project need to comply with World Bank guidelines or standards?
· What are the primary components of an Environmental Assessment?
· What is the difference between the “Environmental Assessment Sourcebook” and the “Pollution Prevention and Abatement Handbook?”
