Description

After several years of equivocating, most geoscientists view global climate change, and its anthropogenic causes, as a reality. And many view subsurface storage of CO2 as a new technology. There are many new factors in this storage, subsurface COstorage has been going on more than 50 years in the form of CO2 enhanced oil recovery.

This presentation reviews the progress of field implementation of CO2-EOR and the lessons learned. The review also provides insights into how these lessons will inform subsurface storage.
