Speaker #1 Abstract: Volunteering with SPE Provides Positive Career Impact

Did you know that volunteering with SPE can have a positive impact on your career? Sometimes, professionals do not have time to get involved with SPE when they are working, and therefore, do not build their professional networks. When looking for a job, a professional network is very important, almost as important as all other qualifications. In this webinar, I will discuss the various volunteering opportunities generally available within the local SPE sections and at the SPE International level. I will explain how volunteers can be proactive and secure volunteering and leadership roles.  Lastly, I will share my personal SPE Journey from volunteering at the local SPE Young Professionals committee to serving on the SPE International Board of Directors.
