Description

Coiled Tubing has proven to be a useful tool in the Oil & Gas industry in the areas of well intervention, clean outs, and plug milling just to name a few.  The advantages over conventional tubing operations are wide ranging as the technology continues to advance in ways that benefit operators.

In this accelerated Coiled Tubing course, the attendees will learn about all aspects involving a coiled tubing operation i.e. the equipment used, string materials used, key parameters affecting its life, a brief overview on the conventional applications such as clean outs, matrix stimulation and nitrogen pumping amongst others. The second half of the training will focus on today’s most widely used application, which is plug milling. The attendees will learn the correlation between well completion, string design, and bottom hole assembly, as well as the fluid types used.  These key points will then be put into practice, as the course will allow students free access to job design case studies via a proprietary web based coiled tubing software.  Key takeaways from this practical session of the course will be to fully understand the main two challenges faced today i.e. string fatigue and extended reach efficiency.
