Hugh Connett is president of Chevron Global Gas, responsible for Chevron’s global marketing and trading activities for natural gas, LNG, and LPG/NGL businesses. Prior to being named to his current role in 2018, Hugh was president of Chevron Pipeline & Power business unit. In this role, he was responsible for providing technical, commercial, operational, and energy management support services that allow the pipeline and power functions to more effectively deliver expertise to the enterprise. Connett joined Texaco in 1996 managing the company’s gas supply and midstream assets with the Texaco Star Center, and has served in various commercial and project management roles with Global Supply and Trading, Bridgeline Holdings joint venture, Global Gas and Downstream organizations. He previously served as a Reservoir Engineer with Mitchell Energy. Connett graduated from Pennsylvania State University with bachelor’s degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Liberal Arts in 1982.
