Kevin received a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada.

Kevin has 22 years of industry experience both as an operator and in the service industry. Prior to joining Drill2Frac as the Chief Technology Officer, where he has proudly worked for the last 3 years, he was the Director of Completions at Rice Energy. Before that he held multiple positions at Schlumberger including Stimulation Domain Expert over a fifteen-year career that spanned multiple countries. He is the lead inventor on seven patents related to fracturing procedures and tools and has authored numerous SPE papers and industry publications primarily focused on shale completions, as well as winning several industry awards. Most recently, Mr. Wutherich received the World Oil Awards “2018 Best Completion Technology” for his development of the revolutionary Engineered Diversion Technique.  He is also a finalist in the 2020 World Oil Awards category of “Innovative Thinker”.    Kevin is an active SPE member and gives multiple industry talks across North America every year and just recently received the SPE regional technical award for Completions.
