Description

This year if anything has been a year of great uncertainty, this has been felt around the globe with COVID19 and in our industry with the associated downturn.  This has accelerated the need for organisations to be able to quickly adapt to new ways of working and embrace technology to maximise their productivity in this new paradigm.

This presentation gives an overview of our technology integration journey before and through coronavirus, focussing on technology developments around reservoir simulation and integrated production system modelling, with connection to costing and economics.

We will also highlight some of the key technology enablers we have worked on to meet this challenge.  Making our work more intuitive, creating a culture of collaboration and building technology to drive that culture, embracing automation and use of cloud compute, and liberating data.

Finally we will discuss the successes and challenges in technology development and implementation in these areas.  As well as how we are placed as we look toward a future where change and uncertainty are set to become the norm rather than the exception.
