Join us with Dr. Haibin Xu to understand how to find funding and support for your energy startups! 

Finding funding and support for a new startup can be challenging in general, and even more so in the energy sector. In this interactive session, Dr. Xu will talk about the innovation ecosystem in energy and some of the most prominent players who can provide various aspects of support that are important to help you succeed. Dr. Xu will also talk about the Shell GameChanger team he leads and what they provide to entrepreneurs.

Haibin Xu is currently the regional manager for Shell Research Connect and Shell GameChanger in the US and Canada. Haibin Xu is currently the regional manager for Shell Research Connect and Shell GameChanger in the US and Canada. In this role, he is the primary relationship holder on behalf of Shell with universities & national labs for research collaborations, as well as overseeing Shell GameChanger’s investments into early stage startups, for US and Canada. He has worked at Shell for 14 years, mostly in upstream technology and business. He started in exploration and development for 6 years; then became a petrophysics team lead and new ventures team and project manager, followed by a year working on corporate strategy, specifically related to Shell’s global LNG strategy, and Shell China upstream strategy. Prior to Shell he worked for Schlumberger for about 4 years. He holds a Ph.D. in Geophysics from Stanford University in 2002.
