Description

This presentation will discuss the effect of different types of frac interactions on future production operations, including re-fracturing and EOR.  It will show how uncontrolled frac interactions can jeopardize the success of these future operations.  The presentation will propose the steps to be taken and the information that is needed to understand the source of these interactions and corrective measures that can be taken to mitigate their potential damaging effects.

Ali Daneshy is president of Daneshy Consultants International and adjunct professor of petroleum engineering at the University of Houston.  He has 50 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has presented more than 50 technical papers related to hydraulic fracturing.  He is an SPE Honorary Member, an SPE Distinguished Member, and has received the SPE Distinguished Service Award. He is also the co-editor-in-chief of the Hydraulic Fracturing Journal, a periodic publication dedicated to the technology and operations of hydraulic fracturing.
