Description
For a producing field, well testing procedures normally requires the production rates of liquid and gas; and the pressure and temperature to be stable for a period of 12 to 72 hours. Thus, for a field containing hundreds of producers, a well test campaign might require multiple testing units going around all year long, yet still falling short of the required test count. While operators would like to reduce individual well testing times, the fluctuation in production rates and pressures prohibits a good call being taken on the right duration, when using traditional equipment like test separators. However, new technology multiphase meters, backed by their AI & digital platforms, provide online, reliable and repeatable well test data, that enables operators to optimize well test times in a most cost-effective way. This presentation aims to demonstrate the same via some field case studies.
