Description

Please join the Society of Petroleum Engineers Gulf Coast Section in celebrating your wise decision to join the petroleum industry and become part of one of the closest-knit "industry families" on the planet.

During this fun filled afternoon you will be exposed to all of the benefits afforded to you through the SPE-GCS and its associated committees.  In addition, this event will allow you to meet and network with other ambitious individuals just like you!

Industry representatives both young and experienced will be available to discuss and share with you; career goals, personal expectations on "life after college", and/or any other topic that you have in mind.  During the afternoon, you will be provided with shirts, dinner, and all the fun and games you can handle!

Highlights of the event will include an introduction to the SPE-GCS, and a speaker panel featuring young professionals who have successfully transitioned into management roles early in their careers and who represent a wide variety of disciplines, backgrounds, and the many varied organizations which are a part of the petroleum industry including small independent, super independent, service, and major integrated companies.  The final presentation of the event will be keynote speaker Janeen Judah, General Manager of Reservoir Performance Optimization for Chevron Energy Technology Company, who will speak on managing your educational options and employing volunteerism for career development and advancement.

At the conclusion of the afternoon's exciting talks and presentations, a networking social will be held at the Flying Saucer (705 Main Street) to provide campers an opportunity to unwind and mingle with industry representatives and fellow campers in a less formal setting.

Walk-ins will be accepted on a space available basis.  Please arrive early, walk-ins are seated on a first come/first serve basis.
