The presentation will provide an overview of the origins of Chesapeake Energy Corporation and their current position and activities in the industry.  The discussion will include a look at Chesapeake’s areas of interest (with particular attention to its rapidly growing Permian Basin interests), its business strategy and record of growth, both through the drill bit and by acquisition.

Chesapeake’s growth has in recent years focused on gas and the Mid-continent. However, Chesapeake continues to develop secondary core areas.  This portion of the discussion will address some of the underlying beliefs regarding the development of these secondary core areas and why gas has been the focus of our strategy.

The discussion will conclude with some of Chesapeake’s thoughts on where we go to from here as an industry and how Chesapeake hopes to meet the challenges of the future.
