Since his 1979 start driving a sand truck for Halliburton, Richard Spears has been involved in all aspects of hydraulic fracturing – designing and running frac jobs, owning proppant companies and chemical companies, sitting on the board of a leading plug & perf company, counting horsepower, inspecting equipment, helping investors deploy capital…  He spends 30-40% of his time working on frac-related issues around the world and it is from this work that the talk is derived.
