Description

“How to ensure an unsuccessful career”; In a “Dave Letterman” style format, Art will outline with vignettes and antidotes from his own experience the top ten things to do to ensure an unsuccessful career. He will also provide translation for those who take him too seriously and allow ample time for interaction with the meeting delegates.

10) Always take yourself seriously (no one else does, why should you?)
9) Ignore the market forces (develop an external focus) 8) Go it alone (partner for success, help others)

7) Don’t ask for help (friends want you to succeed. Be humble, ask for help)

6) Don’t make mistakes (push the envelop, make mistakes – but learn from them)

5) Don’t go back to school (life long learning is critical)

4) Ignore politics (National elections look like playground stuff compared to the office)

3) Take control, don’t give (learn to delegate, help others)

2) Take short cuts (integrity is everything)

1) Ignore your own feelings (success is largely shaped from within)
