The Data Science Convention 2020 (DSC20) originally planned for April 2, 2020 has been rescheduled until further notice. Given the recent CDC guidelines and dynamic updates about COVID-19, we have made this difficult decision of rescheduling our most coveted event of the year to a later date. We will be re-assessing the situation as time evolves and will be actively working to confirm a date for later time. We believe the Data Science Convention brings tremendous value to our community and by postponing rather than canceling DSC20, we aim to preserve the significant work of the organizing committee and speakers along with minimizing the economic impact for our sponsors and exhibitors. Our team will be continuously monitoring the evolving situation around Coronavirus and will try our best to work on a schedule that can work with our speakers, sponsors, and partners. We appreciate your valuable trust in us as we work through these trying times. If you are unsure about your involvement with the rescheduled event, please feel free to cancel your registration on our event webpage and we will submit a reimbursement request on your behalf to SPE-GCS.
The Gulf Coast chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers will host a one-day Data Science Convention on Thursday, April 2nd.
The convention is intended for Upstream Oil & Gas professionals, academia scholars and students with interests in emerging data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence applications. The agenda will include presentations from leading professionals to showcase their recent advancements and applications of Data Sciences.
We will also be hosting startup and technology companies who will exhibit their state of the art and emerging products, and a Poster Competition amongst university students and young professionals. With 400+ attendees, there will be ample networking opportunities with lunch and coffee breaks (covered in your registration fees).
