Description

In 2016, LLOG become operator of Buckskin, their first Deepwater Wilcox development.  LLOG selected a phased development approach with two initial wells to better understand reservoir uncertainties and minimize the initial capital expenditure.  The Buckskin subsea development includes several ‘firsts’ for LLOG and the Deepwater Wilcox which will be shared in the presentation material.  The project was executed six months ahead of schedule, under budget and has delivered production over the 30,000 BOPD reserved capacity.

The presentation will share LLOG’s approach to the Buckskin development and show the prioritization and integration of the subsurface data to optimize the production from the initial two development wells.  Particular detail will be provided on understanding reservoir continuity using formation pressures, reservoir fluid geodynamics and oil geochemistry.  Initial production data will be presented with conclusions shared regarding reservoir quality and reservoir productivity from the first phase of development.
