Description

As open-hole completions become more apparent in the oil and gas industry, the focus on minimizing formation damage from existing wellbore filter cake has become vital.  Equally significant, is the filter cake removal process where efforts to minimize damage and maximize production flowback are challenging hurdles to overcome. Filter cake breakers target specific components to help maximize the productivity of the reservoir interval.

This course introduces the learner to the basics of open hole completion as well as the filter cake removal process.  Also included is an in depth look at the specific chemistries used during this interval in order to capitalize on production.
