Sept. 20, 2018

Description

The Perdido oil and Gas development covers a portion of the geological formation known as Perdido Fold belt. Great White, Silvertip and Tobago – the Perdido development’s three fields – all began production around 2011 and possess opportunities for continued development. There has been notable technological advancement to bring Perdido online. Shell and co-owners, BP and Chevron, went from a 2002 discovery in a challenging oil price environment, to Perdido being a major successful Deepwater producing oil and gas asset in the Gulf of Mexico by overcoming multiple challenges both from a surface and subsurface perspective.
