Title: Reconstruction of the Iraqi Oil Industry

Philip Carroll was appointed by the United States Department of Defense to serve as the first Senior Advisor to the Iraqi Ministry of Oil in early 2003 and served in Iraq from April through September of that year. His presentation will share his view from involvement in pre- and post-war Iraq. In addition to reviewing the objectives and issues faced in the restructuring effort, Mr. Carroll will also look at what is required to re-establish Iraq’s place in the world markets with a look at the underlying significance of Iraqi oil production to meet increasing world oil demands. He will address the strengths and capabilities of the Iraqi people and the difficulties and progress made in security issues.

This is a joint meeting between SPE-GCS and API.

The pre-registration cost is $30.  Walk-ins will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis at $35.
