  • Summary: GeoSyn 2D is a 2D forward-modeling application that helps geoscientists predict petrophysical properties such as lithology, fluid composition and porosity from seismic data. GeoSyn 2D also helps users better understand the sensitivity of seismic data to lateral and vertical changes in rock properties along and in between well boreholes
  • Prerequisite: Students should to be familiar with the GeoSyn application before signing up for this class
  • Topics
    • Create and edit a simple Wedge Model
      • Display a tuning curve and other charts
    • Simultaneously generate a geologic and synthetic seismic model based on data from the following:
      • Single well
      • Duplicates of a well
      • Multiple wells

Adedapo earned a Master of Science in Geology at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, US, and a Bachelor of Science in Geology at Federal University of Science and Technology, Nigeria.
