  • Summary: This course is designed for the experienced geoscientist and geotechnician. This comprehensive course provides detailed instructions to use Kingdom software EarthPAK for geological interpretation. During this class, you will work with well data in EarthPAK spreadsheets, interactively correlate formation tops, calculate zone attributes, cross plot data (logs, zone attributes, production data) and plot structure and attribute maps (including pie and donut maps). Participants will create cross sections (including tops, logs, and formation shading) and use these cross sections to correlate formation tops and create effective presentations
  • Prerequisite: None

    • Well data and production data management, including decline curves
    • Editing, correlating and performing calculations on well log data, including cross plots
    • Facies logs from cross plots
    • Quick look petrophysics
    • Gridding data
    • Bubble maps and displays

Principal – Customer Solutions Glen Penfield provides training and Tier 3 support to US customers, focusing on the Kingdom suite, as well as Petra and Vantage. He writes the manuals for classes and mentors clients 1-1, in addition to teaching public and private classes. With more than four years of industry experience he addresses client day-to-day issues and gives onsite support when required. Prior to joining the company in January, 2014, Glen gained field experience at Fugro GeoConsulting Ltd, where he assisted with seismic data interpretation. He collected sediment samples and rhizome testing for analysis by a geochemist and assisted with core descriptions. He previously was with Chicxulub Geosciences, a consultancy group that offers strategic planning for international O&G companies in Latin America and Africa. Glen earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology at Sam Houston State University, US.
