Aaron Davis is co-founder and CEO of Fortuna Resources and TNM Resources, private-equity backed E&P companies pursuing Permian Basin strategies.  Fortuna Resources quickly built two Delaware positions in 2016 and exited both in late 2016 and 2017.  Following the Transaction, Mr. Davis started TNM Resources, which currently focuses on both the Delaware Basin and Central Basin Platform in the Permian Basin.  Prior to Fortuna, Mr. Davis was a Reservoir Management Team Leader at Occidental Oil & Gas.  He is a graduate of both Rice University and UT Austin and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.

Full Description

Host:

With stacked pay, large acreage tracts and globally-competitive breakeven prices, the Permian Basin remains one of the hottest regions in the US. However, with high acreage prices and established players, it can be a challenging environment for new entrants – and in particular smaller companies. Aaron Davis has successfully navigated these obstacles, building-out two positions in the Delaware Basin in 2016 with Fortuna Resources and successfully exiting in late 2016 and 2017 for proceeds exceeding $120 million.  He now leads TNM Resources, focused on both the Delaware Basin and Central Basin Platform.

Mr. Davis will discuss:

  • Key challenges to building an attractive position
  • Potential hurdles, pitfalls and challenges in the region
  • How to build a sustainable and attractive acreage position

The popular format of a Business & Social Networking hour followed by an hour long program, including a Q&A session, will begin at 5:00 PM in the Mezzanine.
