Description

From theory to field operations using WellScan® software, DrillScan offers trainings for anyone involved in directional drilling. We perform Basic Directional Training for junior drilling engineers or Advanced Directional Training for experienced ones. These Training courses can be conducted on-site for groups or at distance for one person only. All our training courses are composed of half-day sessions and include practical applications & a final evaluation. Basic Directional Training -

Stéphane Menand is the President of DrillScan, and is based in Houston. Previously, he held a research position at Mines ParisTech university. He has 18 years of experience in the Oil&Gas industry, mainly as an R&D project manager in drilling engineering, more specifically in directional drilling, drillstring mechanics (torque, drag, …

Stéphane Menand is the President of DrillScan, and is based in Houston. Previously, he held a research position at Mines ParisTech university. He has 18 years of experience in the Oil&Gas industry, mainly as an R&D project manager in drilling engineering, more specifically in directional drilling, drillstring mechanics (torque, drag, and buckling), drilling dynamics and drill-bit performance. Menand has authored several SPE and other technical papers (25+), patents, and he earned a PhD degree in drilling engineering from Mines ParisTech. Menand serves on the Journal of Petroleum Technology Editorial Committee and SPE Drilling and Completions Journal (Associate Editor).
