THE EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
There are a number of definitions of Ethics and, specifically, Engineering Ethics. An appropriate one is offered by the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department of the University of Missouri in their handbook on Engineering Ethics, namely: “Ethics is the study of the characteristics of morals, and involves the moral choices made by individuals as they interact with other persons. Engineers need to be aware of ethics as they make choices during their professional practice of engineering. Engineering ethics will be defined as the rules and standards governing the conduct of engineers in their roles as professionals”
The seminar will present and discuss codes of ethics as well as case studies that help us, as Petroleum Engineers, navigate our day-to-day professional careers. The seminar is appropriate for new graduates as well as seasoned professionals and will qualify for a the annual PDH required by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
