COP actively engages with various stakeholders in the areas where they operate.  This includes local elected officials, community leaders, educators, students in middle and high school and emergency officials. One thing they realized when they talked to people, is that there was a lot of misinformation about our use of water. COP has built a 3-D water tool (Conceptual Model) in order to illustrate the space between aquifers and their wells.  By the end of Pete’s presentation, you will be able to better understand the relative size of a well’s footprint relative to other uses.
