The SPE Entrepreneurship Cell focuses on educating and connecting entrepreneurs, decision makers and investors through regular publications, talks, business case competitions, and deal-flow events. This initiative aims to share success stories and learnings from existing oil and gas startups with the SPE community and to become the one-stop knowledge transfer shop for any oil and gas entrepreneur.

Ajay will take us through his journey from working at a Fortune 500 corporation to venture capital and finally entrepreneurship. He will share his perspective on how to develop and commercialize a science-based startup. He will also share lessons learned at his current startup, Biota Technology, as a case study for product development for O&G industry.

About Our Guest
Mr. Kshatriya is the Chief Executive Officer of Biota Technology. Most recently, he was a venture capitalist and entrepreneur at Silicon Valley-based XSeed Capital, investing and building companies founded on science-based innovation. Previously, Ajay was a Senior Manager at Genentech, a company that pioneered the biotechnology industry, and began his career as an engineer at Alfa Laval. He holds a BS and MS in Engineering from UC Berkeley and Stanford University, respectively, and an MBA from the UC Berkeley-Hass School of Business. Ajay is a native of Katy, Texas.
