Description

Enterprise software solutions are widely accepted in oil and gas exploration and administration, but the true measure of success lies in the level of organizational acceptance more than the actual technology implementation. Lessons learned show that for enterprise systems anything less than a 95% solution is considered a failure, evidenced by challenges of realizing value from ERP systems in the energy industry. The industry is now faced with the opportunity to deploy an enterprise solution for the traditionally fragmented operations domain, where organizational change management poses a particular challenge. Production Access (PA) is in the forefront of this effort. Tom Bandy, PA''s CEO will discuss the current state of IT in operations, the implications of an enterprise solution, and the experiences PA has had working with nearly 50 producers to date in deploying and extracting value out of an enterprise solution.
