Please join the SPE Business Development Group for a presentation by Apache Corporation's VP of Business Development, Tom Yelich, and EVP of Operations Support, Tim Sullivan.

They will share Apache's experiences streamlining their portfolio and how Apache is currently leveraging their balanced portfolio using free cash flow from various regions to fund the Permian Basin Growth Engine. Additionally, an overview of activities in the Permian and Alpine High areas will be discussed.

The popular format of a Business & Social Networking hour followed by an hour long program, including a Q&A session, will begin at 5:00 PM in the Mezzanine.

Tim J. Sullivan appointed executive vice president – Operations Support effective Jan. 1, 2016, having been senior vice president  – Operations Support since June 2015. In this role, he supports the CEO in operational strategy, goal setting, capital allocation, market intelligence and marketing.


Sullivan was previously region vice president – Canada, and president of Apache Canada since January 2013.  Sullivan joined Apache in 1986 and has served as reservoir engineering manager of the Central Region since 1997. Prior to joining Apache, he served in various engineering roles for Cotton Petroleum and Texaco.


Sullivan holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Iowa State University.

Tom E. Yelich was appointed vice president – Business Development in May 2014. Yelich joined Apache in 2006 as manager of Business Development. In 2010, he led commercial efforts for Apache’s worldwide exploration group before being promoted to director of Business Development in 2013.

Tom E. Yelich was appointed vice president – Business Development in May 2014. Yelich joined Apache in 2006 as manager of Business Development. In 2010, he led commercial efforts for Apache’s worldwide exploration group before being promoted to director of Business Development in 2013.


Prior to joining Apache, he worked in business development positions at Burlington Resources, Vintage Petroleum, Mirant Americas Energy Capital, Vastar Resources and Amoco Corporation.


He holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and master’s degrees in business administration and accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas.
