She was a guest lecturer in negotiation and conflict resolution at both Universidad Católica- Andrés Bello School of Law and the Corporación Andina de Fomento Program for Transformational Leadership. She has an MA from American University in International Peace and Conflict Resolution and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of Iowa.
