Every year the Society of Petroleum Engineers-Gulf Coast Section Young Professionals (YP) Group organizes the Roughneck Camp (RNC)- a one-day conference focused on Energy Professionals in the upstream Oil&Gas industry. In its tenth year, RNC aims to provide a technical overview of the industry, as well as networking opportunities to an estimated 250 young professionals and interns.

This year, RNC will be held on July 21st, at Shell Woodcreek Campus. Supporting the current market climate, this year’s theme is Riding the Energy Roller-Coaster: Challenges, Innovations and Opportunities for YPs in a Cyclic Oil & Gas Industry; our keynote speaker is Bruce Culpepper, President of Shell Oil.

Presentations by distinguished speakers will cover various aspects of oil & gas business. Two panel sessions will feature a number of rising stars in the upstream sector, and the panelists will discuss ‘unconventional’ opportunities which exist during the downturn for a young professional. The conference will be followed by a networking event at Straits City Center.
