Description

It is more important than ever to maximize production efficiency. Through the use of polymer gel technology it is possible to reduce water production, lifting costs, disposal use and electricity costs. Taking advantage of EOR/IOR tools will reduce costs and improve your bottom line.

Join industry expert Randy Prater as he walks participants through a basic overview of polymer gels starting with a brief history of the technology then moving into modern technology and the common uses of a polymer gel treatment. He will also highlight candidate selection, designing a treatment, and well treatment preparation. Finally this presentation will include case studies with decline curve analysis from various regions.

Randy Prater has been involved in the oilfield service industry since 1977 and has been designing and running polymer treatments since July of 1989. He founded Polymer Services which was acquired recently by Kemira, a global leader in acrylamide based polymers. Randy has designed and implemented more than 4000 polymer treatments for the control of excessive water production in oil or gas wells, injection profile, conformance and permeability modification treatments for waterflood injection wells, as well as special treatments for control of lost circulation, thief zones, casing leak sealants, annular gels to seal leaks in production and injection wells and salt water disposal wells to help restore pressure integrity

Randy continues in his role focusing on field application of polymer gel treatments for enhanced or improved oil recovery, using state of the art equipment to blend, apply and monitor the treatments in the field.
