Due to the number of attendees preregistered, we will not be able to accommodate any walk-ins.
With the growing numbers of aging wellbores, rework in the existing zones such as refracturing helps to reduce temporarily abandoned well counts, increase production rates, and often reserves. In spite of the suppressed oil prices the “rework inventory” remains high and economically attractive for Permian Basin operators. This presentation is focused on the steps taking to assure a high success rate of refracturing treatments. The topic supported by case histories and lessons learned from refracturing job planning, execution and evaluation. Specific attention given to the challenges of well candidates selection, fracturing placement, diversion and well integrity.
