Please join the SPE Young Professionals group as we volunteer at the Houston Marathon EXPO 2016 as part of the Green Crew - Refueling Station. 

We will have two different groups. One helping at the refueling station from 6:30 am to 10:00 am and the second group helping from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on different activities at the RunFest, mostly recycling and educating tbe public on what to recycle.

THIS EVENT IS TO REGISTER FOR THE FIRST SHIFT: Mile 10.5 Half Refueling Station 

To register for the second shift please go back to the events calendar, select the other SPE volunteering event on this day and register for the second shift which begins at 9:00 am.

-Scope of work

Set-up and distribute Gatorade and water to the half marathon runners on Montrose at the intersection with Willard and Bomar. Clean up after the last runner passes. Wear weather appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. Show up at 6:30 am at the refueling station location at the intersection of Montrose and Bomar. Several days prior to the event, your station captain will contact you by email with final instructions, such as parking suggestions.

1.       Register on SPE’s event site

2.       Go to the marathon’s volunteer registration page (https://cloud.emos1.com/hou/volunteer/RegisterVolunteer.aspx?eid=8&JScript=1)

3.       Fill out information (be sure to select ‘I am part of a group’ à click on Society of Petroleum Engineers – YP from the drop list)

4.       Select shift: Green Crew – Mile
