Dr. Mario Ruscev is Chief Technology Officer of Baker Hughes Incorporated. Dr. Ruscev has more than three decades of technology and operations experience in the oilfield services industry. He joined Baker Hughes from leading Russian seismic company Geotech Seismic Services, where he served as Chief Executive Officer. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of FormFactor, a semiconductor testing equipment manufacturer that uses nanotechnology, and spent more than two decades with Schlumberger in a number of senior roles in France, the United Kingdom and Norway. Early in his career, Dr. Ruscev formed a research team that developed imaging systems such as container imaging into gaseous sensors that provided images of container contents. This led to the development of the airport luggage screening system that remains in use today. He has led a number of teams whose work had significantly advanced the success of wireline logging tools, seismic resolution and measurement capabilities and underground water management and carbon sequestration. Dr. Ruscev earned his doctorate in nuclear physics from the Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris and his Ph.D. in nuclear physics from Yale University, and is a Director of the Global Carbon Capture and Storage Institute.
