ABSTRACT OF PRESENTATION

This presentation will be a comprehensive overview of the important issues concerning frack water sourcing, transportation, treatment, and disposal.

Jeff Glover and Chad Jacobs draw upon their many years experience in the Marcellus, Haynesville, Eagle Ford, Niobrara, and Bakken shales to discuss the cost and regulatory considerations for obtaining water, the transportation options available, treatment technologies, disposal regulations and alternatives, and important environmental and water management trends.

Parking for this event

The Petroleum Club provides valet parking service on the Milam Street side of the EXXON-MOBIL Building.  Parking is also available at public parking lots in the area for a fee in the $5 - $7 range.

Graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Chad Jacobs is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio. Chad has been working municipal and industrial water projects for most of his career:

Graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Chad Jacobs is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio. Chad has been working municipal and industrial water projects for most of his career:


•         Led design of a centralized frack water treatment and disposal system in the Haynesville shale, which included over 42 miles of produced water pipeline, a centralized treatment and disposal facility conveying on average 60,000BPD. 


•         Planned and designed O&G water and wastewater systems in Eagleford, Permian, Haynesville, Marcellus and Utica shale plays.


•         Has resided in Pittsburgh since 2011 where he has been leading efforts to provide frack water solutions to Utica and Marcellus E&P operators.


•         Served as owner's engineer to aid in the planning, design and construction management of frack water facilities in Lycoming County PA, which are currently in operation.
