Description

This one-day course is a seminar on coalbed methane (CBM) for technical and managerial staff. This class covers fundamental coal properties, introductory coal geology, and basic CBM reservoir engineering. It is designed to help attendees understand coal properties important for coal gas recovery, assess coalbed methane exploration and development opportunities, to calculate coal gas reserves, and appreciate the need for patience in evaluating CBM prospects.  A set of class notes will be provided.
